Three Little Birds trains 40 professionals through Philly SOARS Program

Three Little Birds hosted one of our new mini Perinatal Bereavement Training Sessions with Philly Loves Families for more than 40 perinatal professionals serving the City of Philadelphia. Providers included a mix of counselors, epidemiologists, postpartum support providers, social workers and more.

This continues our committed collaboration with the Philly SOARS initiative aimed at supporting families and providers in the City of Philadelphia navigate stillbirth and the postpartum period. The focus of today's training was developing effective communication strategies, understanding the unique grief of pregnancy and infant loss, diversity in perinatal loss and grief as well as our updated resource packages (available in six languages) and how to work with our organization to support this tragedy faced by one in four families.

Three Little Birds is offering today's attendees a scholarship to complete our full training program so we can continue to expand our Bedside Bereavement Program. We are so thankful for the opportunity to educate and empower those supporting perinatal bereavement!
