Three Little Birds attended the second annual Aerobics for Aubrey Fundraiser this past Sunday in support of the Shapiro Family and their legacy project, Aubrey's Advocates!
This donation-based aerobics class at Remix Fitness hosted more than 100 participants (in-person and virtual) for a morning of physical healing, community support and to raise funds and awareness for perinatal loss. Attendees also participated in a basket raffle. This event was created by Julie and Justin Shapiro, in memory of their stillborn daughter, Aubrey Rae. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund transportation rides for families who learned of their pregnancy loss in an office setting to the hospital. Currently, this is not a covered expense by most insurances and is an unexpected financial burden for families already facing tremendous circumstances and expenses.

From Julie Shapiro - Aubrey's Mom:
"Sunday was an example of the beauty that can come from pain. It was a honor to represent the community of parents who have had to say goodbye to their babies too soon. THANK YOU, from the bottom of our hearts, to everyone who showed up or made a donation, for celebrating our children and walking alongside of us as we heal.
At this time, Aerobics for Aubrey has raised over $17,000 for Aubrey's Advocate!!! We will be collecting donations until Friday of this week, so there is still time to make a donations via Venmo @AubreysAdvocate if you would like.
To my Aubrey Rae: Sunday was just another example of the big things we will do together! Forever in my heart, forever on my mind, forever counting down until I get to hold you again!"
Congratulations to the Shapiro Family on their continued advocacy supporting other families through perinatal loss!
